Captivated by the beauty of ballooning, she quickly decided to become a pilot. Now a commercial pilot, Karen owns three balloons: Karen’s Dream, Karen’s Dream II, and Louisiana Bayou Drea

 Karen Kent, based in Port Allen, LA, is a dedicated hot air balloon pilot who first discovered her passion in 1994 while photographing a balloon event. Captivated by the beauty of ballooning, she quickly decided to become a pilot. Now a commercial pilot, Karen owns three balloons: Karen’s Dream, Karen’s Dream II, and Louisiana Bayou Dream. She flies most weekends, sharing the joy of flight with others. A highlight of her career has been participating in the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
